Our customer is a company that has been in the project business in the field of industrial automation with a focus on Linux/Open Source since 1996. With their passion for Linux, they accompany exciting and innovative projects for well-known customers in the industrial environment every day and have been doing so for over 20 years with currently 25 employees.
To strengthen the team at the company either at their headquarter in Uhldingen (Lake Constance, Friedrichshafen) or from the home office (with occasional office presence) we are currently looking for a
 
Linux System Administrator/Engineer (m/f/d)
 
 
Your responsibilities:
 
  • Responsible for the areas of servers, storage, network and IT security
  • Leading projects in the IT administration environment and leading a small team
  • Install and administrate Linux servers and client systems (physical and virtual)
  • Analysis and troubleshooting
  • Design and maintenance of all network services
  • Selection, procurement, installation and documentation of IT systems
  • Responsible for creating IT requirement definitions, IT concepts and IT security policies
  • Presenting results to the management and implementing them independently


Your profile:
 
  • Professional experience as a system administrator, ideally in an IT system house
  • Extensive experience in larger IT environments with common Linux systems
  • Good knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001, BSI Standards 200-x and virtualization technologies
  • Knowledge of technologies like Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes and virtualization tools like VMWare or Proxmox
  • Ideally, knowledge of programming
  • Good command of English language, German an added advantage
