Security Vulnerability Analyst (m/f/d) Embedded Linux

Our customer is a company that has been in the project business in the field of industrial automation with a focus on Linux/Open Source since 1996. With their passion for Linux, they accompany exciting and innovative projects for well-known customers in the industrial environment every day and have been doing so for over 20 years with currently 25 employees.
To strengthen the team at the company either at their headquarter in Uhldingen (Lake Constance, Friedrichshafen) or from the home office (with occasional office presence) we are currently looking for a full/- or part-time
 
Security Vulnerability Analyst (m/f/d) Embedded Linux
 
 
Your responsibilities:
 
  • Track and assessing vulnerabilities in industrial-grade Linux operating system and the open source components it relies on
  • Develop, maintain and apply tooling for automated CVE monitoring, classification and reporting
  • Leveraging existing open source solutions
  • Collaboration with both the engineering teams and the customers
  • Support the assessment and mitigation of security risks in the products
  • Assist in selecting additional open-source components



Your profile:
 
 
  • Proven experience in analyzing vulnerabilities, security management, or related fields
  • Solid understanding of Linux systems and open source software ecosystems
  • Ability to read and assess code for security impact across a variety of programming languages
  • Previous open source contributions, especially in the security area - please include them in your application
  • Familiarity with industrial automation, IEC62443, CRA or embedded systems (not mandatory)
  • A systematic and reliable work habit to ensure continuous monitoring and consistent evaluation of CVEs
  • Clear communication skills in English, German an added advantage
