Our customer is one of the largest manufacturers of commercial trucks world-wide. In order to strengthen the competence in the area of development of new energy commercial vehicles, the are now opening a new R&D Center in Steyr (Upper Austria). For this R&D Center we are currently looking for a
 
Director - new energy commercial vehicle development (m/f/d)
 
 
Your responsibilities:
 

• Explore European market, customer truck-using scenario, regulation and policy
• Analyze requirements and providing inputs for Europe version vehicle development
• Build unique competitiveness of Europe version vehicle
• Participating in the review of vehicle and system development concept in terms of mechanic, electric, software, performance and attributes, and the definition of development concept, to ensure that products can meet the requirements of European market, customer, regulation, and policy.
• Advanced research of innovation technology in new energy commercial vehicle field
• Define development timing plan/budget of Europe version vehicle
• Build and manage local development team (probably 5-person team in 2023)
• Build competence, including work instructions, method, training and workshop.

 


Your profile:
 

• Long time work experience in an automotive company
• Strong experience of commercial vehicle development and director experience
• Familiar with Europe commercial vehicle validation and customer truck-using scenario
• Familiar with vehicle development procedure in Europe
• Fluent in English and German, Chinese mandarin as a plus
